Somewhat recently, Microsoft released the 2008 game "Fallout 3" on their Xbox Game Pass PC (refered to as XGP from now on) platform, which is exclusive to Windows 10 and 11. There's just one problem, and that is that the game doesn't run on Windows 10 and 11. Most people are installing the game from having an XGP subscription, but you can also buy it for around 15 dollars. The version on the Steam platform also does not work on Windows 10, but you can modify the game's executable with a program called "Fallout 3 Script Extender" (refered to as "FOSE" from now on.) You cannot use FOSE on the XGP version, as the executable file cannot be modified (or manually ran.) The XGP version can run modifications (loading ESM or ESP files), but, a lot of the most popular modifications require FOSE.
